The World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2026 will take place from November 18–20 at its new location in the Greater Miami area, the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale. Often described as the Venice of North America due to its 165-mile network of inland waterways, the city’s natural landscape shapes the architectural context and theme of the event.

Organized this year under the theme of Water, the festival hosts the world’s most comprehensive architecture awards programme, where projects are judged live. Featuring 164 international judges from 37 countries, entries remain open until May 15 across 43 categories, including completed buildings, future projects, interiors, and landscape.

During the event, finalists defend their projects live before peers and industry leaders over two days. Category winners then proceed to present to the Super Jury. In addition to the judging sessions, the programme includes keynote speeches, product exhibitions, and professional networking events. The festival will conclude with the WAF Awards 2026 gala dinner, where the winning projects will be announced.
