2018 certainly hasn’t been our strongest year to date. But still, we have done some great work. It has been a very turbulent year in the Swedish building industry. 2019 will be an even bumpier ride than 2018 in Sweden. That said, we have a number of very exciting projects that are going ahead.
2019 will be an even bumpier ride than 2018 in Sweden. That said, we have a number of very exciting projects that are going ahead. We will still have a very strong focus on residential projects but will continue shifting our focus more and more towards offices projects, urban design, and interior design as well.
The two most exciting projects being realized in 2019 will be our office project The Jewel in Uppsala, Sweden, that we have developed together with Skanska, which will be officially opened mid-summer. The second is our residential project VYN (The View in Swedish) in Stockholm, Sweden, which will see people starting to move in within weeks and be finalized sometime this summer.
And of course, we look forward to starting construction on a number
of our own projects and to start up a few new ones from scratch.
2018 certainly hasn’t been our strongest year to date. But still, we have done some great work. 2018 has been a very turbulent year in the Swedish building industry. We have had a drastic shift in the market where the production of condominiums has dropped rapidly. Everyone has been scrambling to find openings in other areas. Including us. Luckily we have a large number of mainly residential projects that have been a long time coming that are now coming in to fruition. So we have been quite busy throughout the year.
Furthermore, we have been developing a number of projects in different partnership set ups. All of them are moving along and I am happy to say that we are very proud of all of them. Two of them are well into the design stage and most likely ready to begin construction within six months or so. The other two are in earlier stages where we secure the financial side of things and the structure of the partnerships.
Working in partnerships with developers has proved to be a very interesting way for us to run better projects. The partnership set ups and our design-driven process ensure a common agenda a stronger focus on consensus throughout the project as well as the quality of the end result.
